Welcome to the Cathedral!

The Cathedral Church of St. Peter, located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, is the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida, under the leadership of The Rt. Rev. Dabney Smith, our Bishop.

We represent different generations, cultures, ethnicities, even religious backgrounds, yet we come together from all over the Tampa Bay area to worship as one.

Here at the Cathedral we offer beautiful and inspiring worship services, rousing musical performances, dynamic children's ministries, a wide range of opportunities to serve those less fortunate, as well as provocative educational programs featuring worldclass scholars.

In the words of our Episcopal Church's Baptismal Convenant:

We proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.

We seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves. 

We strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.
