St. Petersburg Deanery Youth Group

This past year, the youth from the Cathedral teamed up with the youth of St. Giles Episcopal Church in Pinellas Park, and formed a St. Petersburg Deanery Youth Group.

Comprised of kids, ages 10 and up, from throughout the Episcopal Churches of St. Petersburg, Florida--including St. Thomas', St. Bart's, St. Augustine's, St. Vincent's, St. Aidan's, St. Bede's, St. Matthew's, as well as the Cathedral and St. Giles--this new Deanery-wide Youth Group offers an opportunity for kids throughout the Episcopal Churches in St. Petersburg to build community with one another.

This year, the Deanery Youth Group will get together for our upcoming Youth Service Camp, Aug. 8 -11, 2011, and will plan to meet once a month throughout the year for various special outings and projects, including the Cathedral's Good Friday observance of The Way of the Cross. Next summer, the Deanery Youth Group will travel to the Rosebud Lakota Reservation as part of a Youth Mission Trip, Aug. 5 - 12, 2012.
