The Friends of St. Aelred is a group of friends, family and GLBT supporters interested in promoting the inclusion of all people into the life of the church and focused on social justice and human rights.
At our monthly meeting, we explore topics of interest to the GLBT community with programs that may include speakers, videos, and discussion. We take up issues of importance to our relationship with God and the church.
We are involved in outreach, evangelism, and hospitality activities at St. Peter's and in the wider community. Every June, The Friends of St. Aelred leads a contingent from the Cathedral in the St. Petersburg Pride parade.
